Training Packages
At Sunset Paw Babies, we believe a puppy is more than a new pet; they’re a new part of your family. Every puppy we raise is loved, nurtured, and given the kind of early experiences that help them grow into confident, happy companions. For families who want an even smoother transition home, we offer training packages that introduce puppies to structure, manners, and consistency. These add-on programs help give your puppy a calm, encouraging start, and they give you peace of mind knowing your new family member already understands the basics of home life.
All packages are add-ons available with a puppy purchase and will extend the time that Sunset Paw Babies keeps the puppy at our facility.
Basic Training - $2,750
Basic training includes crate and potty training. Puppies who complete this training will be ready to go home at 10 weeks old.
Intermediate Training - $5,150
Puppies who complete the basic training will be ready to go home to their new family at 16 weeks old. At this time, your puppy will understand core obedience cues such as sit, down, stay, wait, leave it, and drop it. We also work on getting eye contact, reliable name recognition, recall basics, and calm leash manners. In addition, the following skills will be trained:
- Manners & Daily Skills – Greeting people politely, taking treats well, and settling quietly when asked. We focus on self-control and calm behavior around distractions.
- Socialization & Confidence – Developing positive associations with new people, dogs, cats, chickens, sounds, surfaces, and environments. We also work on confidence with handling, grooming, and car rides.
- Household Habits – Crate training fundamentals, house training, and understanding household boundaries. They’ll learn to wait at doors, ride calmly in the car, and relax in new places.
By graduation, your 16-week-old puppy will have a good foundation of manners, confidence, and trust, and will be ready to continue learning and growing with you.

Recall (“come”) will be more reliable, leash manners more consistent, and your puppy will be able to walk calmly beside you on various surfaces and in new environments.
- Manners & Impulse Control – They’ll greet politely, wait calmly for food or attention, and settle easily in busy settings. Calm behavior indoors and settle on cue will be part of the daily routine.
- Socialization & Confidence – Ongoing socialization continues to build confidence. Your puppy will be comfortable around different people, dogs, noises, and places, and will have practiced focusing on you even in distracting environments. Vet and grooming handling will also be a normal part of life.
